Peterbogen – Juridicum Passage

This technical construction in Leipzig, Germany is a single layered cable net structure with cable trusses in the roof. Trusses with tension cables in the facade of two different building. The span of the roof is around 20 meters and is structurally sound. There for the consideration of this net structure in my design will be suitable where its biggest span is 14meters. The glass will be 2sqm laminated safety glass like the precedent shown however with the issues I have regarding the museum additional laminated layers will be added to create a more exterior reflective surface from the sunlight. The angle of the glass roof will be at an angle where the light is more likely to reflect. The interior will still be a little hotter in the summer therefore an environmental approach will be looked at to create a well ventilated and humidified space to be in.
