Tadao Andos museum caves its exhibition spaces out of and
into the terrain. Aside from a few pieces of the architecture peeking out over
the surrounding ocean, the entire museum is below ground. The use of light
wells within this building is used to a very high quality which allows the deep
penetration of light into the building. This
penetration of light enhances the space and void giving it an interesting
experience. As for my project this idea of the deep penetration of natural
light in to the bilding will be used i certain area of the project. These areas
will be spot wells which will shine natural light onto the artefacts from above
reducing the affect of shadows or visual interference.
