The site of Archaeology

Over the centuries numerous artefact have been discovered however cataloguing them can be a daunting task, especially for the early excavation during the 18 century where many sculptors where taken and scattered across the globe. Though many are lost there is some comfort that the villa still has a connection to some sculptors. Through an extensive research and looking at sources like other museums with ties to Rome certain pieces became apparent. By looking at the Torlonia family and there systematic excavations from 1828 onwards there are sculptors like bust of Socrates.
Research suggests that it was a find sponsored by Pope Pius VI during the last quarter of the 18th century and is now at the Vatican museum. Other influential artefacts which i found during research which may be of use for the archaeological museum that I’m planning on designing for the villa site are; Philip the Arab in Hermitage museum  Russia, Boy with a goose from the Louvre Paris and more.  These would require more research to resolve what i have planned for the museum project.
