The final
post of this year’s blog is the project as a whole. The project which is based
in the Villa Dei Quintile site is a repository to house the extensive
collection of artefacts found on site though the years out lined in the brief.
The project is highly influential in the regards to the monumentality of void,
journey to discover and the visual relationship with the villa.
The
repository is an open plan building exploding the definition of storage and
display. The interaction between visitor and artefact is close observation with
high regards to preservation. Plenty of natural light enters specifically
designated parts of the museum and the air humidity is continually regulated
creating a comfort experience of discovery.
